I love to curl my hair with a flat iron instead of a curling iron. I think the flat iron smooths the hair more, and the curls stay longer. A lot of people have a hard time with flat iron curls. The trick is to keep the flat iron moving. If you stop it in the middle you will get weird bends in your hair.
As we move into fall, I also have some of my favorite SengeGence makeup and skincare products. Everyone focuses on adding moisture to their body with lotions and other products, but you have to take care of your face too.
The first product I use every single day, summer or winter is the Hydrating Facial Serum Mist. I keep mine in the fridge and spray it on my face when I need a boost of hydration during the day, or just need a quick refresher. I also use it in place of water to wet my Beauty Blender sponges. It adds extra hydration while you are applying your makeup.
The next product I can’t live without is Translucid Loose Power in the shade Neutral. We also have a Bronze and a Silver Rose shade that are great for bronzing and adding a little blush. I set the concealer under my eyes with Neutral every single day. When it is hot, I also set the center of my face where I tend to get a little oily. I use Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer in place of foundation, so if I need a little more coverage I will mix in some Neutral powder and stipple it on.
Candlelight ShadowSense is my next favorite product. ShadowSense is a cream to powder eyeshadow that is smudge-proof, crease-proof, water-resistant and super blendable. Because it stays all day, I begin my makeup routine by putting it under my eyes and on my eyelids. It has slight peach undertones, so it is great at canceling out any veins or redness you have on your lids or canceling out those dark circles we all have under our eyes. I also use it to carve out my eyebrows if they haven’t been waxed in a while.
Nangai Oil is one of the best multi-use products we have. It not only helps the skin retain moisture but reduces the signs of aging too. I put a couple of drops on my face each night, I also put it on the ends of my hair after I blow dry to smooth them out. I have also used it as a cuticle oil, and I put it on scars. It is so hydrating it helps them heal faster.
