I am so picky about mascara. I have really bad seasonal allergies, and a lot of mascaras irritate my eyes. I also don’t want them to flake or move at all throughout the day, but I want it to come off easily at the end of the day. There is no such product, right?
There is. I found it a few years ago while searching online. I found a review that said this mascara lasted through a 12-hour delivery, and I was sold. If it stays on through childbirth, it will stay on through my normal day, right? You can find it at most grocery stores, drug stores, and of course Ulta. The L’Oreal Paris Double Extend Beauty Tubes mascara is everything I want in a mascara. It is easy to find in stores, reasonably priced, easy to apply, stays on all day, yet comes off easily. It’s so hard to explain that to people. It doesn’t flake or come off at all throughout the day, but when you are ready to take it off, the little tubes come right off. It forms tubes around your lashes and when it comes off it can be scary at first because it looks like your lashes. Don’t worry, it isn’t.
Applying the mascara is a two-step process. You apply the white primer first to protect your lashes. I’m pretty sure this is how the “tubes” form.
Then you apply the black mascara end over the primer. I usually do two coats on my top lashes and one on my bottom. You want to get it on there good enough to cover the white primer.
Then you are all set for the day!
I have been using SeneGence LashExtend for a few months now once a day. You can buy the formula in clear, black, or brown. The black or brown can be used as an eyeliner. I have the clear and swipe it along my lashline every morning while I am doing my morning skincare routine. It helps to grow and strengthen your lashes, and I can tell a difference in my lash length.
A bottle of LashExtend is $50, but it lasts a very long time. You can also use it in your brows to grow them thicker if you are a victim of overplucking in the early 2000s. SeneGence also sells a waterproof mascara called LashSense with Undersense to protect and strengthen your lashes, same application process as the L’Oreal brand, but it is so waterproof I have a hard time getting it off. If I know I am going to be outside in excessive heat, or swimming, or in extreme conditions I use LashSense, but for everyday wear, I don’t need that much staying power. SeneGence did just release a brand new mascara that comes in waterproof and non-waterproof that everyone is raving about.
