I am a pretty organized person by nature, but I am always looking for a way to step up my game in that category. You can never be too organized, right?
I found a couple of products that I think are going to help me stay organized this year. The first one is a planner. I am very much a person that needs to write everything down. I do use the calendar on my phone religiously, especially for work appointments, but I still write everything down in a planner.
A few years ago I bought a planner with all the “bells and whistles”. It helped me track my water intake, my meals, my appointments, my goals, and daily affirmations. It was too much. I felt overwhelmed trying to remember to track all the things. So I was on the hunt for a pretty, but simple planner. I stumbled across Emily Ley on Instagram, the creator of the Simplified Planner. I instantly fell in love with her energy, brand, and message. I bought a Simplified Planner in September or October (when the 2019 launch was) and couldn’t wait to use it in 2019. It is simple. I got the weekly edition because I like to see a whole week at a time. There is a section in the back for notes, and in the front Emily adds a little prep work. Things like morning routines that work best for you, things that did not work in the past year,
The second thing I have been using is an app called Trello. I also use the desktop application while I am work. You create boards for the different areas of your life. I have one for work, one for SeneGence, and one for this blog. Every time I get an idea or a task I add it to the corresponding board. Then I can move them to a completed board, or check them off when I have completed the task. Trello is perfect for when you remember or think of something you need to do, but aren’t in a situation to stop what you are doing and write it down.
What are you using to stay organized in 2019? I would love to hear what is working for you to keep work, personal, and everything else flowing smoothly in your life.
