My Favorite and Most Used Apps

I have a confession to make. I have 167 apps on my phone. I probably have some I don’t use at all, and some I only use once in a while, but I have a handful that I use every single day.

I’ll get the obvious ones out of the way first: phone, messages, camera, Facebook, Instagram, Amazon, Gmail, Outlook, and Google are the apps I open multiple times per day. I Google everything, I don’t know what I do would do if I didn’t have that option.

Some of my other favorite and most used apps are the following:

Planoly: I use Planoly to schedule Instagram posts and keep drafts of posts to be used later so I don’t have to scroll through my photos all the time.

Lightroom: I use lightroom to brighten some photos. I don’t edit all (or even most) of my photos, but I will brighten them or crop them sometimes.

Fitbit: I use the Fitbit app to track my water, my steps, my sleep, and my exercise. I have the Fitbit Versa and I wear it 24/7. The only time I take it off is when I shower or when I’m charging it. I am a Fitbit premium member so I have access to the Fitbit coach app, which I use for at-home exercises.

Noom: I did the Noom program for 6 months in 2019 and I loved it. I am no longer doing the full program, but I still use the app to log my food.

Stylebook: I have had this app for years, but I have used it more since moving to San Francisco. I wrote a post about why and how I use it here. I use it every day to track my outfits so I can purge the ones I am not wearing and rotate them every few months.

Rakuten: This is a cashback app (and website that saves you money while you shop.. It used to be ebates. I was late to the Rakuten party and didn’t download it until cyber Monday 2019. I have already earned over $100 since late November.

Trello: Trello is an app and online platform that helps keep me organized. I have a Simplified Planner that I use daily, but Trello is my brain dump space. I have a board for work stuff, apartment stuff, a list of things I want to buy, blog ideas, books to read, ect. I dump ideas in there whenever I think of them throughout the day.

I have plenty of apps that I use once or twice a week like Uber, Safeway Delivery, Home Chef, Grubhub, and Bart too. I just don’t consider those to be my favorite. They all improve some aspect of my life, but I don’t use them on daily basis.
