Wine Delivery With Winc Wines

I don’t know about you, but I enjoy a good glass of wine. I recently found an appreciation for red wines in the last couple of years. I was always a white or rose wine lover.

When I lived in Michigan I was an event planner for a radio company, and planned multiple wine tours to Traverse City, and beer and wine festivals with the best Michigan beers and wines. It is safe to say I had tried a lot of Michigan wines, and could tell you my favorites easily.

October 2017 – Traverse City, MI

Then we moved to California. Wine country. I can no longer run to the corner store and feel confident in my wine purchase, because I don’t have a favorite here yet, and there are so many choices.

I saw an ad for Winc wines on Instagram and decided it was worth a shot. The wines are reasonably priced, delivered right to your door, and if you don’t like one they will replace it for you. It is a monthly subscription service, but you can skip months, gift your box to someone else for a month, or cancel at any time.

When you go to their website the first time they have you answer some questions that seem unrelated to wine. How you drink your coffee, if you love salt or citrus flavors. It is just a few questions and from those answers they recommend some wines for you.

I got two whites and two reds in my first box.

They came well packaged in a box right to my building. You do have to have someone sign for the box that is over 21.

I have tried two of the four so far, and just placed a second order for another four wines. I loved the Pinot Grigio. It was light and refreshing and on the dry side.

I opened the Chop Shop over the weekend and had a glass and loved that one too. This one is a little dry, but not too dry and fruity. If you are just getting into red wines this would be a good one to start with.

I have heard a lot of people rave about Folly of the Beast, so I added one to my next box to try.

One of the best parts is that you can rate the wines in each box. I find this the easiest way to remember what wines I liked the best. I will remember trying a wine, but I usually can’t remember if I loved it or not.

If you want to try Winc wines, use this link to get $22 off your first box of wine, which is almost 50% off (depending on the wines you choose). Most of the wines I have chosen so far have been between $11 and $18, but there are some that are a little bit more.

Cheers.
