Have you jumped on the headband trend? I was so excited when I started seeing them pop up everywhere last year that I immediately ordered a multi-pack from Amazon. I have a lot of hair, and my natural part is pretty deep on my left side, so my hair falls in my face a lot. I don’t want to wear my hair up every day, but I hate it in my face. A headband is a perfect accessory to allow me to keep my hair down, but out of my eyes.
There are a few different ways you can wear a headband as an adult. If you just throw it in your hair like we did when we were kids, you will look like you are wearing a kid’s headband.
Here are a few tips to help style a headband as an adult.
The headbands I wear most often are from Amazon. They come in a 9 pack of multiple colors.
This is my favorite way to wear a headband. I like to keep my part, and just pull the hair from my temples and up back behind the band, while keeping my ears covered.
If you don’t part your hair as deep to one side as I do, this might be the easiest for you. Just pull straight back from your temples, but make sure there is volume in the front section so it isn’t tight to your head.
If you want to add a fun pop of color or dress up an everyday top knot, just throw a headband in after your hair is pulled back. Just remember to pull some pieces forward so you have some volume on top.
If you prefer the cloth bands that go all the way around your head, I will post my tips for those soon.
