My Daily Makeup Routine: Step by Step

My makeup routine doesn’t change a ton from day to day. I change my lip color, and sometimes add to my daily eye look, but the rest is exactly the same. I will link all the products I use as I walk you through what I do each day.

On my bare face, I use SeneGence Daytime Moisturizer, then I use Silk Pore and Wrinkle Minimizer. The Silk will smooth out fine lines, fill in your pores, and make your foundation apply more smoothly. Before SeneGence, I used Urban Decay primer under my foundation, that one is a good choice too. I let the Silk sit on my skin for about 10 minutes, usually while I do my hair.

I have some dark circles under my eyes, so I color correct that area before I put foundation on. I also color correct any blemishes or red spots. I use Candlelight ShadowSense for color correcting. I put it under my eyes and on my eyelids to cover any veins. ShadowSense is a cream to powder eye shadow that is water resistant, smudge resistant, and anti-aging. It stays put all day long. You do have to work quickly with it though. I just dab it under my eyes and on my lids then use my finger to blend it out.

I switch back and forth between Dewy Foundation and Light Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer. I used Dewy for this look, for no reason other than it was what I grabbed. I stippled it on with a foundation brush all over my face. SeneGence has a regular foundation line and an anti-aging foundation line. I use the regular Dewy shade, which is neutral. If you aren’t sure if you are warm or cool toned, email me and I will color match you for free. I can do it from anywhere.

Once my foundation is done, I use ShadowSense on my eyes. I use Moca Java in the crease of my eyelid every single day. Even if that is the only thing I put on my eyes. It adds dimension and looks like you tried, without really trying. I deepened the outer corner of my eyes with Garnet ShadowSense, then put Moca Java Shimmer on the inner half of my lid. I finished off this eye look with Black EyeSense, a liquid eyeliner that doesn’t budge at all. I am new to using liquid eyeliner, but once I learned that it doesn’t have to be perfect I got better at it. I just take a smudger brush and smudge it out a little before it dries.

Next, I conceal and highlight with a mixture of White and Light Concealer. I just mix them together on my finger and apply them under my eyes and down the center of my face (forehead, nose, and chin) I blend it out with a blending sponge. While it sets a little I fill in my brows with Rustic Brown ShadowSense. My brows are pretty dark naturally, they just need to be shaped and filled in a little. I used to use Moca Java or Smoked Topaz in my brows and both work, but Rustic Brown is the perfect color.

I set the concealer with Natural Translucid Powder. It diminishes fine lines and wrinkles and has anti-aging peptides in it. It also keeps me from getting oily throughout the day.

I contour with a tester of Cinnamon Foundation. Cafe Au Lait also works for me, but I like to be a little extra with my contour. I like to use foundation in a few shades darker because it blends so well. I use Toasted Rose BlushSense for Blush most days. It is a good neutral mauve color.

I was hesitant to try SeneGence mascara, but I am so happy I did. It grows your lases up to 45% in four weeks, and it doesn’t irritate my eyes. My eyes are very sensitive, so that is huge for me. I start with Undersense 3-1 Lash Primer on my top and bottom lashes, then add one to two coats of Volume Intense Mascara in Black. There is a waterproof version of the mascara, but I don’t feel like I need it. The regualr mascara doesn’t run or flake on me. I haven’t been swimming in it, but it survives my daily life just fine.

Lastly, I added some EyeLuminator on my cheekbones to highlight and put on some LipSense. EyeLuminator is eye cream mixed with Pearlizer. Perlizer is the best highlighter I have ever used. It works just as well mixed with eye cream, and you get the benefits of the eye cream too.

I layered two LipSense colors for this look. I used one layer of Dark Pink, topped with two layers of Summer Fun, then glossy gloss.

I know that seems like a lot of words, but it takes me less than 10 minutes. I do the same look pretty much everyday with maybe a slight eye shadow or LipSense color change. The fact that my skin is healthier than it has ever been has made my makeup apply so much faster and easier, but more on that later.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
