My Top Requested Dessert: Fruit Pizza

We had a potluck at work today. The minute the signup sheet was posted Aaron came to my desk and said: “You’re making fruit pizza, right?”.

Every time I make this dessert someone asks me for the recipe. I have had people offer to pay me to make these for their potlucks and family dinners.

Here is my secret: This is the easiest dessert to make.

It can be expensive because of the amount of fresh fruit you need, but it is so easy and a total crowd-pleaser.

Here is how you make your own fruit pizza:

I don’t even make my own cookie dough for the crust, but you totally could. I buy the tube of sugar cookie dough and let it sit out for a few minutes to soften up.

Then I spread it evenly on a cheap pizza pan. Pro tip if you are taking this dessert somewhere. The dollar store sells these pizza pans, and because they are one dollar I don’t care if I leave it somewhere.

Bake the cookie crust at 350 for 12 minutes, or until it is done. I baked this one for 14 minutes. Once it comes out of the oven you will want it to cool completely.

While the cookie is baking mix together the “sauce”. I use 1/3 cup powder sugar and one package of strawberry cream cheese. You can use regular cream cheese, or any flavor you want.

Then I add in 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla. To be honest, I don’t measure the vanilla, I just dump some in.

Once the cookie crust is completely cooled, top it with the “sauce” mixture.

Then top with the fruit of your choice. Today I used strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and grapes. I have used bananas in the past, but they brown quickly. I have also used blueberries, kiwi, really any fruit will work.

Keep it in the fridge until it is time to serve and I promise everyone will love it!
