A subscription service can either waste your money, or save you time, money, and energy. We have all had some sort of subscription that we keep forgetting to cancel, but don’t want anymore, I have a trick for those I will share later. I have six services/products that I subscribe to that save me time, money, and energy every month.
The service I have subscribed to for the longest is Home Chef. I’m sure you have heard a ton of people talk about Home Chef, but in case you aren’t sure how it will change your life I will tell you how it has changed mine. I have subscribed to Home Chef for over two years now. You can read all about it here. I get three meals delivered each week, and no longer have to think about what to make for dinner each night.
One of my newer, but favorite subscription services is the Billie Razor. The razor is only $9, and then for $9 a month, they will send you new blades. You don’t have to get them every month if you don’t shave as often. You take a quiz when you sign up that will determine how often they are shipped to you. I wrote a blog post comparing this razor to another popular one here, the Billie wins my vote by a landslide.
Cat food is something I don’t want to have to think about, to be honest. Our cats are picky, and I don’t want to run out of the food they like, so I have it shipped monthly through Chewy. If you have never ordered from Chewy, they have the best customer service. I have had very few issues, to begin with, but the couple I have had they handled quickly and with great service along the way. If you have pets I highly recommend automating their food. It is one less thing you have to think about each week.
Another thing I never want to run out of is cleaning supplies. I have my cleaning and laundry supplies shipped to me from Grove Collaborative each month. I fill my shopping cart as I run low on things, and have it shipped to me each month so I never run out. I have an all-purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner, wipes, hand soap, laundry soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and sponges delivered each month. You also get a free gift if you order over a certain amount each month.
I use Amazon Subscriptions to have Bubly water sent to me each month for two reasons. One, because you can only get the variety pack on Amazon and I like to switch up my flavor each day. Two, because water is heavy and I don’t want to carry it from the store. We have been drinking Bubly water for almost a year now, and have cut back on milk and pop because of it. I hate most sparkling water, but this one actually has flavor. If you want to try the variety pack you can grab it here.
A brand new subscription to me is the FabFitFun box. Amanda sent me a starter box in November, and I loved everything in it so I decided to get the winter box too. FabFitFun comes once a quarter. You can customize your box, or do what I did and let it be a surprise. I got everything from bath salts, to a planner, a makeup remover, some soap, a moisturizer, and a heat spray in my winter box. I love surprise mail, so that is the draw to this service. If you want to try it you can get $10 off your first box here.
What do you automate in your life to save time and energy? Do you have a subscription you look forward to each month?
