I made it a goal of mine this year to read more books. I have decided one book per month is manageable for my lifestyle.
As we start April, I am keeping up with that goal, and have read a few good books so far this year.
- What She Knew by Gilly MacMillan – If you don’t like stories about missing children, this book may not be for you. I enjoyed this book, the story was well developed and it was a quick and easy read for me.
- The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena – This book also has a child abduction theme, but there are twists and turns throughout the book to keep you captivated.
- Watching You by Lisa Jewell – I picked up this book because I loved Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell. To be honest, Watching You took me a while to read. I liked the overall storyline, I just had a hard time getting into in until the end. It got better as the story progressed.
- Elanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman – I have been trying to finish this book for over a year. Every once in a while I pick it back up and try to get back into it, but it just doesn’t hold my attention. The reviews are great, and I have friends that loved this book, so maybe give it a shot? I may try to listen to it on audible and see if that makes a difference.
I just started reading Into The Water by Paula Hawkins, but I am only two chapters in so I don’t have an opinion yet.
