Easy At-Home Self Care Treatments

We are all missing our self-care appointments right now, right? I only get my hair done every three-four months and I had it done last in December, so I am READY for a hair appointment.

While I continue to talk myself off the ledge of an at-home hair trim, there are some easy self care treatments you can do at home to pamper yourself.

One of the easiest things you can do is an at-home manicure. I chose the brightest nail polish I could find and painted my nails and my toes for a fun pop of color. All you need is a file, some polish, and a top coat.

If you are used to wearing acrylic or gel nails and want to try something more sturdy than polish, Static Nails are the way to go. I actually have three new pair here that I haven’t put on yet because I wanted to play with the bright nail polish I never wear. Static Nails are glue on, and for me, last over two weeks. They are super easy to apply and easy to remove when you want to switch them out. I have a code for $5 off here.

If you have been wanting to try one of the foot peel masks that make your feet feel baby smooth, now is the time. You are at home and you don’t have to worry about hiding your peeling feet for a week. You can grab the one I use here, but there are a lot of options online and at Ulta.

My favorite way to pamper myself at home is with a face mask. I love them. I have two that are my absolute favorites, and this is one of them. The Detoxifying and Moisturizing mask gently removes impurities from your pores and helps rid your skin of dead cells to reduce redness, and reveal smoother, softer looking skin.

You can apply this with your fingers or a silicone brush all over your face.

Then let it sit for 10-15 minutes and wash it off with a cleanser. I use this once or twice a week, and after I travel. My skin feel refreshed, soft, and smooth after using this mask.

If you are looking for a drug store option, this one from Ulta is good too.

My other favorite face mask is this Golden Radiance Peel-off Mask. This mask is infused with genuine colloidal gold and soothing botanicals to firm, soften, and moisturize the skin.

And who doesn’t want gold on their face. I brush this on with a silicone brush, but you could also use your fingers.

Let it sit for about 15 minutes, or until it is dry.

Then peel it off. This is my favorite part because I feel like I’m peeling away all the gunk in my skin. My skin immediately feels super soft and looks bright and radiant.

A drug store option for the Golden Radiance Peel-off Mask would be this one from Ulta. I like the way this one feels on my skin, but I would choose the golden mask 100x over this one.

I don’t know about you, but I am the palest I have ever been right now. I used to walk to work every day, and walk to get lunch so I was outside every day, at least for a few minutes. It has been cold and rainy here, so I go days without leaving the apartment and you can tell. I have been using Jergens Natural Glow for years because it is inexpensive and easy to use. I buy it off Amazon, but you can buy it everywhere. I put it on a few times a week after my shower and it gradually gives me a glow.

I just ordered the Isle of Paradise tanning drops that you add to your regular lotion or moisturizer, so I will let you know if I love them as much as everyone on Amazon does.

The last thing you can do at home to pamper yourself is actually something I NEVER do.

Take a bath.

I don’t enjoy baths. I’m not sure why. I get cold, and bored, and would rather read my books snuggled up on the couch. If you enjoy baths give me your tips because I just don’t get it. If you do enjoy them, try to take one after the kids go to bed and just relax.
