While I genuinely love playing around with new makeup looks and fun colors, I get excited when I find a simple and fresh makeup look for every day. I switch up what that basic makeup look is with the seasons, and when I get bored with the same thing.
For spring I have been loving really accentuating my skin, adding a pop of color with blush, and letting my lashes be the thing that draws attention to my eyes.
Before I tell you what I have been doing, I do want to point out that without great skincare, it doesn’t matter how good your makeup skills are. Skincare is the base, especially for looks like this. You can read about my skincare routine here.
Concealer, blush, and mascara are the stars of the show with this makeup look. The other products are just an added bonus. Here is what I do
- Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer all over my face – This evens out my skin tone and works as my daytime moisturizer.
- Light and White Concealer – I mix these together on my finger and apply under my eyes and down the center of my face to highlight
- Natural Powder – I use this to set the concealer and absorb oils throughout the day
- Eyeliner – I put this in my top waterline to accentuate my eyes
- 3-in-1 Lash Primer – This has made the biggest difference in my lashes. It instantly gives me volume and length and helps my lashes grow over time
- Volume Intense Mascara Regular and Waterproof – You don’t need both of these at all. If I could recommend just one, it would be the regular formula. I layer the waterproof on top because I like the added volume and I like the brush.
- Red Delicious Gloss – I switch out the tinted gloss color almost every day, but this is one of my favorites. It gives a slight wash of color while moisturizing my lips.
If I were to choose two products out of these to really speed up my routine, they would be the CCTM and regular formula mascara. Those are the products I choose while running errands, or when I need to just feel pulled together.
