Books I have Read in 2020

One of my goals in 2020 was to read one new book each month. So far, I have exceeded that goal and found some really good books along the way.

If you want to see the books I read in the first quarter of the year, that list is here.

  1. Into The Water by Paula Hawkins – I had just started this book when I complied the first post in April. I finished the book pretty quickly. It was a good mystery that was easy to read.
  2. Open Book by Jessica Simpson – I wanted to switch up the genre a little from mysteries, so I grabbed Jessica Simpson’s memoir. It was so good. I was a Jessica Simpson fan in the 90s, but there was so much I didn’t know about her. I would definitely recommend this book.
  3. Ask Again, Yes by Mary Beth Keane – This book was amazing. The story sucks you in and breaks your heart all at the same time. It’s emotional, but also a love story wrapped in drama.
  4. Educated by Tara Westover – I found this book on Goodreads. I wasn’t totally sold based on the description, but I am so glad I read it. It’s an amazing story of how Tara overcame so many obstacles in life. I highly recommend this book.

I had my next book delivered today, and I’m switching up the genre again. For my next book I am reading Self Care: A Novel by Leigh Stein. It has great reviews on Goodreads and Amazon, so I’m looking forward to cracking it open.

Side note, I still haven’t finished Elanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. I want to, I just can’t get into it.

What should I add to my want to read list? What are you enjoying this summer?
