My Week in Outfits Volume 1

I never would have considered myself trendy or fashionable, but more and more people are asking me where I got pieces in my wardrobe. I thought it would be fun to document what I wore each day this week and share it with you. I will link the pieces I can find, or similar items if I can find them.

I have a lot of clothes because I keep things until I literally can’t wear them any longer. This means that I have a lot of options each morning, but it also means that when people ask me where I bought a piece of clothing it may not be available because I have had it forever. The good news is I wear a lot of basics so I am hoping I can find similar items for you.

Pants (similar) | Sweater (Similar Sweater) | Toms (similar)

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love these pants from Express. I wear them all the time. They are dress pants that feel like pajamas, does work-life get any better than that? Unfortunately, these exact dress joggers are no longer available at Express, but here is a similar pair.

The sweater came in a Trunk Club order in September of 2017, so this exact one is no longer available either. I did find a similar one here that I may actually like better though.

The Tom’s I bought from a Facebook add over the summer. Since I walk everywhere comfortable shoes are so much more important. I wanted a pair of flats that weren’t black or brown, so I added these to my shoe collection and get a ton of wear out of them. Cheetah is basically a neutral. I can’t find the exact ones I have, but these are very similar.

Sweater (similar) | Jeans | Booties

I don’t even remember buying this sweater, but I know I have had it for a few years. I like the color of it and the fact that it is a simple pullover sweater. I can’t (of course) find the exact one from LOFT, but this one is in the same color family.

According to the app that tracks my outfits, these jeans are my most worn piece of clothing. What is funny about that is they may be my least expensive piece of clothing too. I bought them at Old Navy during a huge sale and I’m pretty sure they were $15. Even at regular prices, I would buy these jeans over and over again. They are so comfortable and easy to wear.

What can I even say about these booties? Let me start with how I got them. Do you all follow The Sister Studio on Instagram or read her blog? If you don’t you should start. She has done a couple of collaborations with Steve Madden in the last year. The first one was an adorable pair of cheetah mules that I didn’t buy. I regret that decision. When she announced she was doing another one I watched her stories every single day until they were released. She released these booties and a sneaker (you’ll see those later this week). I bought the booties and waited over a month for them to be delivered (they were pre-order). I have them now and I’m never taking them off, so I hope you like them.

Jeans | T-Shirt | Sweater (similar) | Pumas (similar)

I’m now realizing how old some of my clothes are while looking for links. I’ll start with the jeans, which are again Old Navy. These are the Rockstar 24/7 style and they are amazing. They are too big for me now, but when they fit I wore them all the time.

The basic black t-shirt is from Target. I’m not sure if this one is the exact one, but it’s a long sleeve basic from Target, so it’s probably the same. I wear this shirt all the time.

This cardigan was a Christmas gift last year and is way too big for me now. I didn’t realize that even my cardigans would be too big after losing weight. The cardigan I am wearing is Calvin Kline, and I can’t find the exact one, but this one is similar without the hood, and this one is a similar style in a different color.

These Pumas are amazing. I bought them for Tux and Tennies, a charity event in Flint where you wear tennies with your formalwear. I have gotten a ton of wear out of them even though they are suede. I can’t find the pink ones online, but this pair is similar.

Thursday 11.7.2019

I actually found all these pieces online! This sweater is from Express, I can’t find the white, but they have a black and a red that are both pretty. I have only worn this sweater a couple of times. The zipper is heavy and my hair gets caught in it, just an FYI. I also wish I would have gotten a smaller size so it looked less like a maternity top.

These jeans cam in a Trunk Club a year or so ago. I like the r of them, the dark wash seems more like business wear to me for some reason. These may be the most stretchy jeans I own, they are very comfortable.

These are the sneakers that I ordered from Steve Madden because of the Sister Studio. I saw a couple left online, but they have other similar styles if these sell out. They are super comfortable and I get so many compliments on them.

Black Jeans | Sneakers (Similar)

You guys, I have no idea where this sweater came from. I looked all day to find a dupe and I can’t, so if you happen to see it please let me know where. The brand is MTA Sport and I got it for Christmas last year.

These black jeans came from Articles of Society from a Trunk Club. I wear these all the time. There is something about black jeans that feel a little dressier than regular blue jeans, right?

I’m wearing another pair of Steve Madden shoes today, can you tell I love Steve Madden? I got these at Marshals and can’t find the exact ones, but these are super similar

I want to know what you guys think of this? Do you want to see more of these weeks? Maybe I can plan better next time and wear pieces I can actually link for you. Please let me know if you want me to do this again in the comments.
